Privacy policy

saturne.net is a static information website with no user accounts and no forms. The only data processed are visitor statistics (Google Analytics), the hosting provider's technical logs (Cloudflare) and any emails you choose to send us. The site carries no advertising and no advertising or social media trackers.

Data controller

The data controller is the site's publisher, saturne.net, reachable at contact@saturne.net. Publisher and hosting details are listed in the legal notice.

Audience measurement: Google Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics 4, a Google service, to measure traffic: number of visits, pages viewed, time spent, referring site or search engine, device type, browser and approximate country or city. These statistics are used only to understand which content is read and to improve the site. They are never sold or used for advertising.

  • Cookies set: _ga and _ga_<id>, which tell visitors apart under a pseudonymous identifier; they last at most 13 months.
  • Recipient: Google (Google Ireland Limited for the European Economic Area, Google LLC in the United States). Data may be transferred to the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
  • Retention: detailed data are kept in Google Analytics for a limited period (14 months at most).
  • Opting out: you can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The site works fully without them.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare. As with any website, Cloudflare's servers automatically record technical logs (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser). These logs are used to operate, secure (attack protection) and troubleshoot the service, and are kept for a limited period according to Cloudflare's practices.

Email

If you write to contact@saturne.net, your address and message are used only to reply to you and handle your request. They are never shared or used for commercial purposes, and are deleted once no longer needed.

Your rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to access, correct, erase, object to and restrict the processing of your data. To exercise these rights, write to contact@saturne.net. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
